The first of three new live onstage audio dramas from TBC Audio
A new concept, as TBC Audio’s latest venture combines documentary-style interview and live audio theatre, in this new series of three monthly events at the Underground Theatre Eastbourne.
Each month, actors Amy Sutton and Jack Kristiansen present a half hour introduction to an aspect of the supernatural, with a special guest, illustrations and video clips.
After the interval, a full cast perform a reading of a new audio drama, recorded live before the studio audience.

Playwright, actor and TV presenter Andy Matthews had investigated a dank, unsettling and isolated ruined cottage in Ireland, surrounded by twisted trees and clogging moss, for a ghost-hunting documentary. Fired by the experience, the story and the atmosphere of that place, he wrote the play performed as today’s first episode of ‘The Other 1%.’
The play …
The scene set, and the haunting image of that ruined cottage safely in our minds, ‘Morai: The Coonian Ghost’ spins a creepy audio tale of a ghost hunter haunted by his own loss as horrors from the past come crashing into the present day.
It’s an intriguing premise – the audience sits with drinks cabaret-style, as part of a live audio drama experience.
See a working studio setup, gain insight into just how audio dramas are created as players play several parts, using all the voice actor’s techniques to create their performances on script and on mic, with audio crew working live to record the performances.
You’ll be able to hear all the fully edited and post-produced audio dramas soon. Details as they come.
